Terra Kaffe is rolling out TK-02 firmware v37.0.0 starting March 17. This update introduces Skip Wake Rinse, a new setting that reduces water usage and speeds up startup without impacting coffee quality. The feature is based on consistent customer feedback around rinse cycles and daily water use.
The Feedback Was Clear
“I’m filling the tank way too often.” “How much water does a wake rinse actually use?” “It would rinse multiple times a day. I couldn’t live with it.”
Water usage got a lot of talk. In reviews, emails to the team, community threads, and surveys. It was one of the most consistent pieces of feedback we received, and one of the most important. So we got to work.
What We Changed
Starting March 17, 2026 firmware v37.0.0 begins rolling out to all TK-02 machines. With this update, your TK-02 will now skip the rinse cycle at Wake. That means:
- less water used throughout the day
- faster startup
- less water in your drip tray
- fewer trips to refill the tank

If you prefer the extra rinse, it’s still there. You ca toggle it anytime: Settings → Advanced Settings → Skip Wake Rinse
